Ms Dipuo Letsatsi-Duba today sent her heartfelt congratulations to Polokwane City FC team, coaches and management, for ending in top position in the National First Division (NFD). “The team showed their tenacity after bouncing back from the recent tragedy they endured, when they lost four of their teammates in a horrific road accident, some six months ago.
We are immensely proud of them and celebrate this achievement with them.” The team will now be competing in the Premier Soccer League, but unfortunately, this comes at the demise of Black Leopards FC. “We are certain that Black Leopards FC will fight their way back and next year we will see both local teams in the PSL.
We wish both teams the best of luck and pledge the continued support of the people of Limpopo.”She continued to say that both teams’ progress will be followed with anticipation.
The MEC also wishes to take this opportunity to convey her condolences with the friends, family and colleagues of the much-loved TV and radio presenter VuyoMbuli, who passed away early on Sunday morning. “A whole nation mourns his untimely death. Vuyo will not only be remembered for his professionalism and charisma as a presenter, but he was also a sports fanatic and staunch supporter of South African culture and heritage. May his soul rest in peace.
