Police find suspected stolen property in Bramley

Police have launched a manhunt for two foreign nationals, following the discovery of suspected stolen LCD televisions at a house in Bramley, Johannesburg. The SAPS received information about  suspected drug related activities taking place from a rented room in a house at the Johannesburg suburb. Upon placing the house under surveillance, two males, one of them a resident of the rented room, arrived at the house. But when the police entered the premises, two males escaped by scaling a fence.

On gaining entry in the rented room, police found 72 brand new LCD televisions. There were also three brand new expensive leather couches. Each couch had one large straight cut  underneath, suggesting they were being used to secretly transport goods or substances of some kind. Police confiscated the suspected stolen items.

They also impounded two vehicles belonging to the two males who fled the property. Apart from looking for the two suspects, police are also in the process of establishing where and how the items were obtained.

The SAPS would like to thank members of the public for their information, which contributes in the fight against crime.
