Police call on members to make use of SAPS Employee Health and Wellness (EHW) structures following unnecessary loss of life

The Management of the South African Police Service in Mpumalanga condemn the ruthless and unnecessary loss of life amongst employees and their loved ones.

This comes in light of the recent incident that occurred at Mandela village in KwaMhlanga where two precious lives were lost. A 37 year old police Constable, Hope Rebecca Mlambo, was fatally shot by her husband, Jonas Teko 42, who also turned the gun on himself. The couple were found by a neighbour who was alerted by gunshots and had police summoned.

Management urges the men and women in blue together with their families to utilise the Employee Health and Wellness (EHW) infrastructure or external professional services when having an unbearable load.
