You are cordially invited to:
What:
Patient Safety Seminar
When:
26 to 27 September 2012, 9h00 – 17h00
Where:
Philip Sanders Resort, on the way to Maselspoort (Glen), Bloemfontein
Who:
The MEC for Health, Ms Fezi Ngubentombi, will deliver the key note address. International and National Speakers will address the 400 delegates from public and private sector.
Why:
The purpose of the event is Capacity Building to improve Patient Safety and Clinical Governance, thus improving the life expectancy of the Free State Community.
There has been massive effort and investment in the creation of a safe environment for patient care and patient safety culture within the department.
On review of the programme performance it has been discovered that for the culture of patient safety to flourish there is a need to arrange for a two day workshop on patient safety and clinical governance.
The culture of patient safety is affected by the appetite and competency of the Heads of institution and Heads of Clinical Disciplines towards clinical risk management and Clinical Governance Practices.
It has been observed based on the analysis of Adverse Events Management and attendance of the Provincial and District Adverse Events Committee there is a capacity gap amongst the key stakeholders.
It is also cost effective to host the internal conference rather than sending the personnel to attend the different seminars and conferences outside Free State.
How:
Please take note that the whole program will now be completed within two days (26 -27 September). The final program will be available at the event.
