The Portfolio Committee on Sport and Recreation would like to congratulate Mr Chad le Clos and Mr Cameron van der Burgh on winning South Africa’s first two gold medals at the London 2012 Olympics.
These two gold medallists have made the whole country proud. We appreciate the hard work Chad and Cameron have put in to their performances in the swimming pool. We acknowledge that such achievements do not come easily.
As the Committee, we would also like to recognise the hard work and sacrifices made by both athletes’ training teams and families.
We further wish all South Africa’s Olympic athletes well in their performances and in their pursuit of more medals.
