Parliament sends condolences to family, colleagues and friends of United Democratic Movement Deputy President Mr Ntopile Kganyago

Parliament extends its sincere condolences to the family, colleagues and friends of Mr Ntopile Kganyago, deputy president of the United Democratic Movement (UDM), who died yesterday aged 72.

Mr Kganyago became a Member of Parliament in 2004 and was then appointed Deputy Minister of Public Works. In 2009, he was re-elected to Parliament.

He served the UDM as deputy president from 2006.

He was a registered Educational Psychologist with Health Professions Council of South Africa, belonged to a number of associations relating to the field of psychology, held two Master of Arts Degrees – from the University of the North and from Delaware University in the United States of America - and had a long career in education before he became an MP.

His lively, warm presence and friendliness to his fellow Members and Parliament officials will be missed greatly.
