Skills Audit Report by Pricewaterhousecoopers (PwC) and Public Protector’s Report on SABC
In a meeting on the 26 February, members of the Portfolio Committee on Communications discussed a request by a member of the Committee, Ms Marian Shinn, which referred to the comments allegedly made by both the Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson of the SABC on the PwC Skills Audit Report presented to the Committee earlier this year, 2014.
The Committee also received a letter from the SABC Board outlining the process to be followed in dealing with the Public Protector’s Report on the SABC. According to the letter, the SABC Board was supposed to meet on 24 February 2014 to examine the report.
The Committee extends its appreciation to the SABC Board for initiating this feedback. The Committee resolved that the Chairperson would write to the SABC Board to provide the Committee’s responses on both matters.
