The office of the Speaker of the National Assembly, Ms Baleka Mbete, has received enquiries regarding the Minister of Police’s report on Nkandla. In anticipation of the report, the process towards the establishment of an ad hoc committee to consider the report by the Minister is underway.
As the matter relates to a report from the Executive, the Speaker is also in contact with the Leader of Government Business on the issue.
The Speaker is mindful of the importance of ensuring all processes are duly followed. Parliament will communicate developments in this regard.
