Parliament is aware that a woman from Limpopo has been protesting outside the Parliamentary precinct about issues concerning government. The protester has not yet submitted any formal petition to Parliament.
Parliament has offered to assist her with accommodation, food and travel back to Limpopo, while her complaint is being attended to but the protester has rejected the assistance and has made alternate demands which Parliament cannot meet. Parliament has engaged the assistance of the Department of Social Development to assist. The protester has indicated that for now, she will remain outside the Parliamentary precinct.
