Parliament wishes a speedy recovery to the cleaning staff who were injured when a lift at Parliament malfunctioned on Friday night and dropped several floors.
The cause of the accident is being investigated by the relevant government departments.
Steps will be taken to ensure that a similar incident does not occur in the future.
We also extend our concern for African National Congress Member of Parliament, Ms Sue van der Merwe, who was attacked during a burglary of her home on Friday night.
We hope that the law will take its course and that the culprits will be speedily brought to book.
