The Select Committees on Economic Development, and International Relations and Trade are today visiting the national solar energy plant in Upington. The scheduled visit follows complaints by local people to the Committees that there was no skills transfer in the project.
The Chairperson of the Select Committee on Trade and International Relations, Mr Eddie Makue said the Committees will assess the project’s economic development impact to the local communities.
The Committees visited various agricultural projects in Upington on Tuesday.
