Motorists and taxi drivers are urged to use alternative routes in the Sandton CBD on Saturday, 12 September 2009 due to the 5th Annual Gauteng Pale Ya Rona Carnival parade. The parade will start at George Lee Park and go through the following streets Sandton Drive East, Fifth Street East, Fredman Drive, Grayston Drive into Innes Free Park.
The following streets will be closed from 10h00 to 13h30 to allow the smooth procession of the parade; Marie Avenue, Sandton Drive, Grayston Drive, 5th Street, Fredman Drive, Rivonia Road, Katherine Street and Harris Street.
