The Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries hereby announce that all Food Business Operators (i.e. producers, packers, processors, transporters, etc.) of regulated agricultural products of plant origin for export and local market can register their food business online. The electronic facility of registering Food Business Operators online will enable a process of tracing and tracking of the product in the supply chain.
All produce destined for sale on the local as well as export market must be marked with an FBO Code in addition to other prescribed marking requirements. FBOs are thus encouraged to register online in order to gain access to the new FBO Information system.
