NYDA roadshow goes to the Eastern Cape

The National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) is on a roadshow of the Eastern Cape in a bid to increase its footprint, accessibility and foster a mutual understanding with youth.

Led by the Deputy-Chairperson of the NYDA, Kenny Morolong, the roadshow which is its last leg, having started in North West in September before visiting the areas of Moqhaka and Metsimaholo in the Free State, will be ending in the Buffalo City Municipality.

Morolong and a team of NYDA officials will be conducting workshops, social dialogues as well as presentations by the NYDA and its partners. The presentations will outline the organisation’s new plans, share information about the NYDA’S new offerings - from the establishment of youth cooperatives to accessing grant funding and small business support programmes, volunteerism and scholarship opportunities.

During the roadshow young people will also be trained and empowered with various skills, from business plan development to career guidance while social dialogues will ensure that rural youth get a chance to engage the NYDA and its partners on other youth development matters.

The roadshow will visit the areas of Gonubie and Dimbaza.

Media is invited to attend.
