Minister of Trade and Industry (the dti), Dr Rob Davies (MP), approved amendments to the Manufacturing Competitiveness Enhancement Programme (MCEP) guidelines in terms of Section 1.4 of the guidelines, which were published on the dti website on 01 April 2014 and are effective from the date of publication.
Trade and Industry (the dti) would like to notify MCEP clients that if their applications have not been tabled at the Technical or Adjudication Committee meetings by the time the amended guidelines came into effect, they will be affected by those guidelines (MCEP Guidelines, version 4).
However, if the applications have been tabled at the MCEP Technical or Adjudication Committee meetings and have been referred back, or the client has received an approval letter, they should ignore this notice.
