President Jacob Zuma today, 7 March, visited Northern Cape Premier Hazel Jenkins at her residence in Kimberley and has expressed satisfaction with the progress she has made since she was admitted to hospital last month.
The Premier was discharged from hospital on Monday, 5 March. President Zuma travelled to Kimberley after the conclusion of Cabinet today.
"She has made a remarkable recovery. Her family and all of us are relieved. Her doctors are happy with the progress she is making. I assured her and her family of our support during this period," the President said.
The President was received by the Acting Premier, MEC for Education Ms Grizelda Cjiekella, and he thanked her for holding the fort.
