North West Transport Investments Board institutes forensic investigations

The NTI board, which was appointed by the North West Provincial Government in its capacity shareholders on 7 October 2015, met for the first time on Monday 20 October 2015 to consider a variety of issues that relate to its mandate.

The board received some reports on the NTI and its subsidiaries. Other reports are still outstanding and the board will ensure that it receives such reports in order to have a complete understanding of the status quo.

These reports are crucial for the board to execute its responsibilities with distinction.

The board resolved that in the interim it will study the reports received so far while awaiting the outstanding ones.

An immediate and urgent action which the board has taken is to institute forensic investigations which will assist the board to unravel some of the intricacies that are embedded in the reports.

An appropriate course of action which the board will take will be informed by the outcome of the forensic investigations.

The board will release further information as soon as the forensic investigations are concluded.
