The North West government’s communication capacity will be in the spotlight during the two-day Provincial Communication Lekgotla that commences today at Alpha Training Centre at Broederstroom.
During the Lekgotla, the province will review its communication strategy to ensure that the strategy responds to the challenges and communication environment in the province. The discussions will also seek to ensure effective and co-ordinated implementation of the strategy.
North West Premier Mme Thandi Modise is expected to challenge all communicators to improve the quality of their performance to enable the provincial government to deliver consistent and coherent messages to the public when she addresses the Lekgotla during its media networking dinner scheduled to commence at 6h30 today
All government communicators including those from municipalities and parastatals are expected to attend the Lekgotla.
Editors and Journalists are invited to the session to be also addressed by Chairperson of the South African National Editors Forum, Mondli Makhaya and the media partner that is sponsoring the networking dinner.
