The North West Provincial Legislature has been saddened by the death of former Chief Justice Pius Langa this morning. The political head of this law-making body, Honourable Supra Mahumapelo, sends his condolences to the family and beloved ones of this legal eagle who has been a dedicated Human Rights jurist and activist.
Justice Langa will be remembered for his distinguished service to the Republic of South Africa and his unshakeable commitment to safeguarding the freedoms, liberties and rights which are the foundation of our country’s democracy.
Our legal fraternity is poorer without him.
May his soul rest in peace!
