The North West Provincial Legislature (NWPL) under the leadership of Honourable Supra Mahumapelo, jointly with the SABC News from Mahikeng marked its 67 minutes in honour of Ntate Nelson Mandela with the impoverished Piet Plessis rural-farms community on the 18th July 2013.
On this day the local clinic, police station and day care centre were cleaned by the NWPL members and staff, and SABC News employees. The NWPL and SABC News completed the day by donating reading books, sanitary towels and school shoes and uniform to Reitshokile Combined School.
Percy Loitoreng Construction also donated two sets of soccer kit with soccer boots and a netball kit with boots to the school. The NWPL and SABC News donated more than two hundred blankets to families living in hazardous makeshift houses.
