Establishment and announcement of the NTI board
The North West Provincial Government, in its capacity as shareholders appointed the new North West Transport Investments (NTI) board which was announced at the EXCO meeting held on Wednesday 14 October 2015
Amongst other things, the board is mandated to ensure that there is full existence of government controlled bus services in the entire province as part of ensuring safe, affordable and accessible transport to all in the province that will contribute to economic growth.
Future bus operations will be inclusive of the taxi industry. The Board, which consists of women only, is constituted as follows:
- Advocate Thato Mohapi
- Ms Ontlametse Mochware
- Ms Fetsang Mokati
The Board is also mandated to deal with all allegations of corruption in the company.
All issues relating to the NTI should henceforth be directed to the board as it is a legal entity and is now functional.
