North West Premier Mme Thandi Modise has learnt with sadness of the untimely death of Deputy Arch Bishop Reginald Kwena Maleka and wishes to convey the condolences of her Provincial administration to the Maleka family, the Church of Christ Assemblies, its leadership under Arch Bishop Sitoe, congregants and broader communities that he served as a spiritual leader.
Deputy Arch Bishop Maleka who sighed his last breath at Dr George Mukhari Provincial Hospital last week Thursday is to buried in Mabopane on Saturday 24 March 2012.
Premier Modise said that during his brief reign as Deputy Arch Bishop and spiritual leader of one of the biggest African Independent Churches whose headquarters is based in Ledig in the North West Province, His Grace the Deputy Arch Bishop had demonstrated not only a profound desire to minister to the needs of the Church of Christ’s Assemblies congregants but also a strong commitment to strengthening partnership between the church and government.
Premier Modise said that the provincial government had known the Deputy Arch Bishop Maleka as a humble servant of God,a loving father and compassionate leader who had served with integrity.
The Provincial Executive Council prays that the Lord Jesus Christ will welcome into His Kingdom of eternal peace and perpetual light the faithful shepherd of His flock, and grant consolation and comfort to all those who mourn his passing.
