North West learners to deliberate on road safety techniques

About eighty learners from different schools in the province will deliberate on the best models on road safety awareness which seeks to establish new techniques on how to improve road safety campaigns.

The annual provincial Participatory Education Techniques (PET) competition is aimed at capacitating learners on road safety issues within their respective communities and develops their research and presentation skills.

North West MEC for Human Settlements, Public Safety and Liaison, Nono Maloyi said the province is expecting an outclass competition from the contestants as such deliberations plays a vital role in empowering young people on road safety issues.

“It is through programmes like these where as a province we work towards empowering future generation towards creating safer roads and further reduce death toll on our roads,” says Maloyi.
