The North West Department of Public Safety has increased its deployment of traffic officers for today (Saturday, 10 April 2010) on the N4 Bakwena Platinum highway.
The increased visibility and tightened road traffic law enforcement is in anticipation of increased traffic volume on the road ahead of the Deputy Minister of Health, Dr Molefi Sefularo's funeral to be held at as from 08h30 at the University of Limpopo (Medical University of South Africa (MEDUNSA) campus sports complex) outside Ga-Rankuwa.
The officers deployed at 25 kilometres intervals between Rustenburg and De Wildt will focus on speed and movement violations to minimise possibilities of road accidents. Motorists who will be travelling on the road are advised to observe safe following distances and to drive within permissible speed limits.
