The road towards achieving clean audits by 2014 will once again take a giant leap when the North West Department of Local Government and Traditional Affairs will handover office equipment such as computers to municipal public accounts committees (MPACs) in nine (9) local municipalities that are unable to report and carry their functions and responsibilities effectively due to lack of equipment.
These municipalities are: Moretele, Kgetleng rivier, Lekwa-Teemane, Mamusa, Kagisano/Molopo, Maquassi Hills, Ventersdorp, Tswaing and Ratlou local municipalities as befitting beneficiaries of these office equipments to assist in carrying out their functions and responsibilities such as drafting of reports and typing of reports and, record management.
