The National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) on behalf of the youth of South Africa has received with excitement the great news about the health of former President Tata Nelson Mandela. “Since the news of the hospitalisation of uTata uMandela came to our attention we remained hopeful that he would recover,” says NYDA Executive Chairperson Andile Lungisa.
“We are very humbled to still have such an iconic leader of the world among us,” adds Lungisa. He further called on all the youth of South Africa and the world to follow in the footsteps of Mr Nelson Mandela in talk and in their deeds.
“Tata Mandela has been and continues to be a great inspiration not only to the young and old in our own country but also abroad. He continues to be a beacon of hope, of what it means to be a great person and responsible citizen of the world. He stood and continues to stand for nothing less than, love, community development, peace and forgiveness at all times and we say these are the attributes all young people should strive to live by,” he says.
“We look forward to celebrating his 93th birthday with him in July,” concludes Lungisa.
