Mrs Nompumelelo Zuma, wife of President Jacob Zuma met United States First Lady Mrs Michelle Obama this morning, 21 June 2011 at the presidential residence, Mahlamba Ndlopfu.
Mrs Zuma shared her concern and passion for assisting orphans and vulnerable children with Mrs Obama who in turn briefed her on the purpose of her visit and her interest in uplifting women and young girls.
Mrs Zuma confirmed the high regard placed by South Africa on relations with the United States of America and wished Mrs Obama well on her visit to Southern Africa.
