Mpumalanga Public Works on database registration of service providers

Mpumalanga Department of Public Works, Roads and Transport is calling on service providers to register on the provincial database

The Mpumalanga Department of Public Works, Roads and Transport is calling on service providers to register their companies at the provincial database before the closing date, Friday the 28 February 2014. Suppliers are urged to fill the forms which can be obtained in Nelspruit at the government complex building 9 Central Supply Chain and all district offices of the department.

Applicants are required to submit the application forms with all relevant documents such as the valid, original tax clearance certificate, fully completed database application forms, business registration certificate with all the members and shareholders, copies of ID documents of companies, letter from the bank or cancelled cheque, companies should not be restricted from doing business with Government as per the National Treasury Database, they should not be listed in the National Treasury Database of Defaulters, they should have relevant accreditation certificate (if applicable) as well as the vat certificate if a company is VAT ponder.

All suppliers are eligible to register their companies, however if directors of the companies are government officials, they should provide approval granting them authority to do business with government. Failure to submit all the required documents will automatically disqualify the application form.

The database has been introduced to give potential suppliers to compete fairly in the procurement systems thus provide the goods and services required by the department.

Suppliers who have an interest in registering their companies on the database can contact Mr Ntokozo Hlatshwayo at 013 766 6638 or Ms Doris Mbatha at 013 766 6861 during office hours.
