One major objective of the commission is to protect and promote gender equality and engaging with relevant stakeholders to educate and raise awareness on issues of gender equality.

The commission wants to form partnership with HTL and sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU).

The chairperson of HTL Gkosi Mathupa Mokoena was happy with the presentation and made it clear that as the House of Traditional Leaders they could be very happy to work together with the commission. He pointed out that after signing the MoU they must have workshops together with the GCE where they will workshop each other on how they can cascade useful information to the community. Also to teach the community about their culture together with the commission.

In closing the two chairpersons agreed that after finalising the MoU they will sign it and work together.
