Mpumalanga Education satisfied with supplementary examinations

The Mpumalanga Department of Education is satisfied with the manner in which the supplementary examinations progressed within the province. There were no serious challenges that were reported and everything unfolded according to the plan.

To this effect, the department extends its appreciation to all role players who made this possible.

The supplementary examinations with an enrolment of 6 523 candidates started on 16 February 2015 and ended on 24 March 2015. Several schools were clustered to be served by one examination centre within circuits to ensure seamless management of the process. 297 marking personnel and 48 support staff have already been appointed for the marking session that started on 25 March 2015 and will be completed on 1 April 2015.

The results will be released on 30 April 2015 and the deadline for application for remarking is 15 May 2015.

The certificates for the 2014 Grade 12 results will be issued on 30 June 2015. The certificates of those who did not write the supplementary examinations will be in schools when the schools re-open on 13 April 2015.

Together we move South Africa forward.
