The Department has resuscitated the Dial-A-Tutor programme to assist learners who experience challenges with subject content while studying at home. Learners should dial 087 805 1350 from Mondays to Thursdays between 18h00 and 20h00.
This call is at no charge to a learner even if they use their cell phones. In this case, the system has been designed in way that when a learner phones, it will automatically terminate the call and immediately call back.
The learners are expected to listen carefully to the voice prompts as they will be guided on options to follow leading to an interaction with the relevant Tutor. All learners are urged to take advantage of this opportunity aimed at improving their school performance.
Principals and teachers are requested to encourage learners to utilise the Dial-A-Tutor programme to their advantage.
Apart from the dial a tutor programme the department is coordinating interactive radio lessons in partnership with Ligwalagwala and Ikwekwezi FM and the 13 Mpumalanga Community Radio Stations. The radio lessons are arranged as follows;

Learners can also take advantage of the Mindset Learn, a DSTV channel 319 which is aimed at supporting learners and teachers in formal schooling directed at Grades 10, 11 and 12 with special focus on Mathematics, Physical Science, Social Sciences and the Finance cluster subjects.
