Motshekga welcomes life sentences for principals murder

The Minister of Basic Education Angie Motshekga has welcomed the tough sentences handed down in the Cape Town High Court to the three accused for the murder of Nomziwoxolo Dziba, acting Principal of S'thembele Matiso High in Gugulethu in the Western Cape.

The three received life sentences for the murder which occurred in the school premises on 24 August 2009.

'I hope that this tough sentence will send a strong message to criminal elements that compromise the safety of educators and learners at our schools' said Motshekga.
