It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we must inform you of the sudden passing of Chumani Nqakula.
Nqakula, 23, is the son of Minister of Defence and Military Veterans, Ms Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula and former cabinet Minister Charles Nqakula. He was allegedly killed by someone he knew on Saturday, October 31, 2015, at Bezuidenhout Valley, Johannesburg. The perpetrator has been detained.
The Ministry of Defence and Military Veterans sends it heartfelt condolences to Minister Mapisa-Nqakula and family. May God give the entire family the comfort and peace they require during this difficult time and may Chumani' soul rest in eternal peace.
