The Minister of Arts and Culture, Mr Paul Mashatile said as the Department of Arts and Culture (DAC), we are proud to be associated with this football extravaganza since its contribution has not only been restricted to the football pitches but is assisting in moving forward our on-going project of building unity, fostering social cohesion and promoting human solidarity forward and internalisation.

“Football fans are celebrating Africa’s unity in its diversity and this can only augur well for realising the African Renaissance”, added Mashatile.

The ceremony will offer an arts extravaganza that features diverse musical expressions by Mafikizolo, Professor, Uhuru, Busiswa, Dj Zinhle, DJ Reddy D and Chad Saaiman. The department remains committed through Mzansi Golden Economy (MGE), to develop and promote creative industries as major contributors towards job creation, social cohesion and nation building.
