On behalf of the Minister of Higher Education and Training, Dr. Blade Nzimande, I wish to congratulate and welcome our newly appointed Media Liaison Officer, Ms. Vuyelwa Qinga.
A former Eastern Cape-based journalist, Ms Qinga brings with her a wealth of experience in Communication and Media Management, having worked for both the private and public sectors in this field. Before joining the executive arm of government in 2008, she was Head of Media Management in Parliament.
She spent five years before that working as Head of Marketing and Communication at the Eastern Cape-based Coega Development Corporation, where she was responsible for both International Marketing of the project and External Relations.
Ms. Qinga brings with her well established networks and relations within the media fraternity, and this will place her in good stead in her current role.
We wish her all the best in her new role, and we look forward to good working relations with our colleagues from the media, under her leadership.
