Minister Ngoako Ramatlhodi on passing of Minister Collins Chabane and his two protectors

Minister of Mineral Resources, Adv. Ngoako Ramatlhodi is deeply saddened by the sudden passing of his brother, fellow colleague and Comrade Minister of Public Service and Administration, Collins Chabane and Sergeants Sekele and Lentsoane.

Minister Ramatlhodi speaking from London, “I am lost for words, shocked and very sad as I join fellow South Africans, Limpopo and the village of Xikundu in mourning the sudden tragic passing Cde Ohm Collins Chabane. We have not only lost a Minister, but a committed soldier, servant, leader, brother, father, a man accessible to all. A humble man who understood the plight of our people .To many he is an artist , writer, negotiator, to me a brother who was everything to me and the struggle, I Salute you, fellow fighter.

I recruited him into the ANC in the 1979, at Turfloop along with Cdes Peter Mokaba, Pitsi Moloto, and many others and sent them to exile. Theirs and His level of loyalty, discipline and cadreship never disappointed. Let us honour Cde Ohm Chabane by remembering all he was and stood for. He served us well and well indeed.

To the families, wives and children of Cde Ohm Chabane, Sergeants Sekele and Lentsoane, Your loss is our loss, be strengthened and find solace in the Lord. We are with you, says Minister Ramatlhodi.
