Transport Minister Sibusiso Ndebele today (13 May 2010) expressed condolences to the families of those South Africans killed in the Afriqiyah Airways plane crash yesterday(Wednesday, 12 May 2010).
"We want to express our condolences to the families and relatives of those South Africans killed in the plane crash involving Afriqiyah Airways yesterday (Wednesday, 12 May 2010). We were also saddened to hear of the death of Frans Dreyer, brother of our colleague Democratic Alliance MP Anchen Dreyer, in this crash. We pray for strength and courage for all the families and loved ones affected by this tragic incident.
"As government, we are doing everything possible to render all the necessary assistance to the aviation authorities investigating the circumstances of this accident," the Minister said.
