Correctional services Minister Sibusiso Ndebele has conveyed condolences to the families of three Eastern Cape correctional officials, who were killed in a motor vehicle collision this morning, 3 September.
According to Eastern Cape correctional services officials, the three officials, who were based at correctional services SADA Management Area office in Queenstown, were en route to a meeting at St. Albans Correctional centre in Port Elizabeth when the crash occurred after 08h00 on the N2 approximately 70 kilometres before Port Elizabeth.
"On behalf of the correctional services family, we want to convey our sincere condolences to the families, and colleagues, of the three Eastern Cape correctional officials who were killed in a motor vehicle collision this morning. Our thoughts and prayers are with them all during these difficult moments," Minister Ndebele said.
