Transport Minister Sibusiso Ndebele has conveyed condolences to the families of the deceased who lost their lives as a result of a road crash on the R103, in Durban near Verulam yesterday afternoon, 8 October 2009 where a bakkie and a car collided head on, killing five people, including a 12 months old baby.
“We want to express our condolences to the families and their relatives on the tragic death of five members of the community. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families during these difficult moments.
"We call upon all road users to exercise extreme caution at all times on the roads,” said Minister Ndebele.
The Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC) will conduct an investigation into the cause of the accident.
