Transport Minister Sibusiso Ndebele has conveyed condolences to the family of the late Jan Masoeng Sillo of AmaZulu Football Club, who was killed in a car crash on the N5 near Harrismith earlier today Tuesday, 11 August 2009.
"We want to express our condolences to the family and relatives, as well as the supporters of AmaZulu Football Club, on the tragic death of Jan Masoeng Sillo in a car crash near Harrismith, earlier today. The death of this young talented football player, in the prime of his life, in a motor vehicle collision follows several other road deaths over the past few days, including that of MEC
Phandelani Ramagoma, MEC for Public Works in Limpopo, who was killed in a road crash yesterday, 10 August 2009. Our thoughts and prayers are with all these families and we wish those injured a speedy recovery. We must put an end to this unnecessary loss of lives on our roads," said Minister Ndebele.
