Minister Naledi Pandor is the Acting President

President Jacob Zuma has today, 30 March 2011, left for Livingstone, Zambia where he is leading a high-level delegation to the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Troika Summit scheduled for 31 March 2011.

Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe is on a four-day working visit to the United States, from 27 to 31 March 2011, covering three states, namely, New York, Washington and Chicago.

President Zuma has appointed Minister of Science and Technology Ms Naledi Pandor as Acting President until 1 April 2011, when the President and Deputy President return to South Africa.
