Statement by the Minister of Communications and Digital Technologies, Hon Mondli Gungubele on the appointment of the SABC Board of Directors
The Minister of Communications and Digital Technologies, Hon Mondli Gungubele welcomes with excitement the appointment of the non- executive members of the SABC Board by HE President, Cyril Ramaphosa.
The new SABC Board appointed for a period of five years comprises highly skilled and experienced men and women who will stabilize and take it to great heights. As a tool of information, entertainment and education in society, the SABC Board will be seized with the mammoth task of ensuring great public participation amongst South African citizens while continuing to be a viable public broadcaster.
Minister Gungubele sends his sincere congratulations and well wishes to the new Board that will be chaired by Mr Khathutshelo Ramukumba and looks forward to a harmonious working relationship with them.
