Minister Mbalula congratulates rowing team

The Minister of Sport and Recreation SA, Mr Fikile Mbalula praised the South African Men Lightweight Rowing Team for clinching the third gold medal for the country. Minister Mbalula, who touched down in South Africa early this morning with the Banyana Banyana from London,  welcomed the news that we made it with a third gold in the bag.

"We don't want to sound like a broken record, what welcomed us in Britain, has phenomenon, victory was certain.  We are proud of the four young men, who made our flag to rise above all and our national anthem to be sang louder" said the elated Minister Mbalula.

South Africa has already bagged two medals in swimming, when the two swimming sensations made the country proud at the London Olympic Aquatic Centre, with Cameron van der Burgh setting the new world record and winning the gold and Chad le Clos beating the 'Most Decorated Olympian of All Time', Michael Phelps, to clinch the gold.

"We are optimistic that a lot more medals will be counted in our favor. Everyone at the Team South Africa house is truly motivated by the wins of the three. They have truly injected a dose of motivation to the other athletes. With this kind of fire we will be at the podium again" stated Mbalula, who continued to encourage all South Africans to continue supporting the Team SA in London.
