The Minister of Justice and Correctional Services, Advocate Michael Masutha, has noted the order by the North Gauteng High Court on the possible parole placement of Mr. Eugene de Kock. The Minister will study the court order and the report of the National Council for Correctional Services to determine the cause of action within the 30 day period determined by the court.
Given the background, nature and historical context of this matter, the Minister intends to consult further in order to make an informed decision.
