President Jacob Zuma has, in terms of section 90(1) of the Constitution, designated the Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, Mr Jeffrey Thamsanqa Radebe to act as President of the Republic from 3 September to 7 September 2013.
During this period the President will be attending the G20 forum in St Petersburg in Russia. Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe is out of the country on vacation.
