The Minister of Energy Ms Dipuo Peters and the Executive Director of International Energy Agency (IEA), Ms Maria van der Hoeven signed the first work plan during the IEA Ministerial meeting in Paris today.
This is a first step in putting in place an implementation plan after the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on energy issues between the two organisations in July this year. This work plan agreement includes cooperation in areas of energy efficiency and renewable energy amongst others. This will help to contribute to South Africa’s efforts towards a cleaner and more efficient energy future.
