Correctional Services Minister, Ms Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula, today received the judgment in the disciplinary enquiry related to the matter between Correctional Services National Commissioner, Ms Xoliswa Sibeko and the department.
The findings in the disciplinary enquiry have cleared Ms Sibeko on all three charges brought against her including the rental of private property at state expense and travel abroad with her husband at State cost.
To this end, Minister Mapisa-Nqakula has extended National Commissioner Sibeko’s special leave whilst she is studying the judgment and considering her options. The Minister will make her decision known on the way forward regarding this matter in due course.
