His Excellency President Jacob G Zuma has requested the Minister of Correctional Services, Hon. Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula, MP, to represent the President of the Republic of South Africa at the funeral of the late former President of Zambia, Dr Frank Chiluba.
Former President Chiluba, 68, passed away on 17 June 2011 following a heart attack. The former President will be laid to rest in Lusaka, Zambia today.
President Chiluba is survived by his wife and children.
On behalf of President Zuma and the people of South Africa, Minister Mapisa-Nqakula wishes to convey sincere condolensces to the Chiluba family and the citizens of Zambia.
