The Minister of Justice and Correctional Services, Advocate Michael Masutha, has appointed the Regional Commissioner of Gauteng, Mr Zach Modise, as Acting National Commissioner of Correctional Services. Mr Modise assumed duties as Acting National Commissioner on Friday 13 June 2014.
Minister Masutha has congratulated Mr Modise and wished him well in his new responsibility at the helm of Correctional Services and thanked the Chief Operations Officer Mrs Nontsikelelo Jolingana for her contribution while acting as National Commissioner since 9 September 2013.
Acting National Commissioner Modise has subsequently appointed the Area Commissioner of the Johannesburg Management Area, Mr Mandla Mkabela, as Acting Regional Commissioner for the Gauteng Region. Director Errol Korabie was appointed to act as the Area Commissioner of Johannesburg until further notice.
