On behalf of the people of Limpopo, the government, and the ANC, I would like to send our message of condolences to the Sisulu family for the sad passing on of Mama Albertina Sisulu. The loss of Mama Albertina, who was a mother figure to all of us, is a heartrending loss to our nation. We will forever hold in high esteem the resilience she has shown in the fight against apartheid and oppression.
During this time of grief may the Sisulu family know that the people of Limpopo are sharing their loss with them. Our prayers and words of comfort remain due to the Sisulu Family at this difficult time. In our memories Mama Albertina will remain a true embodiment of women’s struggle in the fight for the emancipation of all South Africans particularly women. Her role in the struggle for women will always be remembered for she participated with exceptional determination and energy.
The love that she has shown for her people and their liberation remains unparalleled. The trying times and turbulent road that she has travelled towards attaining our freedom will forever inspire us to take forward the ideal of a prosperous South Africa.
